Distillery: Macallan Dest.
Origin: Speyside (Highlands)
One of our first three Single Malts. We bought it when we did not know yet about Single Malts. Luckily we did not drink too much of it until we learned about the secrets of Single Malt tasting! We named one of our tomcats, born June 1998, Macallan (shortened to Mac).
Brown or dark gold.
Some sherry, also some spices. In Feichtner's glass distinctively honey, malt. Heavy and sweet.
Intense, dark, round and full. Sweet as well as dry. Very pleasing. Long standing.
Range is 0 to 100 (0 would mean awful, 100 means the very best)
