Port Ellen Distillery

The Port Ellen distillery is closed since years. And no hope it opens again. But it has a modern maltings and supplies the malt to most of the other Islay distilleries.
Much of the whisky is still be sold, and available relatively easily, even in Austria, but at prices well beyond our capabilities.
