Glen Grant Distillery

All distilleries have their specialities, and also their own kind of beauty. The striking thing of Glen Grant is its "garden", including a forest and a burn, very lovely. Inside the one speciality is the "purifier", a device attached at the top of the first stills (wash still), yielding a lighter, purer spirit. In the end the Glen Grant whisky is light but has its own kind of complexity...

Like in Dalmore the tour was held only for the four of us, no other people joined us, so the tour was a rather intense experience. For the most part we prefer the heavier malts, but we brought home a bottle of cask strength Glen Grant and we were not disappointed.
