First we shape our tools, then our tools shape us.

WHAT | The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) belongs to the group of problem solving related tools.
It is a performance measurement system which includes not only financial figures but also
indicators for clients and markets, internal business processes as well as learning and
growth potentials of the organisation. The BSC technique is a management system helping to trace the objectives of an organisation on all levels - to every employee - in a controlled manner. |
WHY | In order to meet the constantly changing requirements of a tumultuous environment a quick adaptation of the organisation's strategy and its consequential implementation in all areas is needed. The BSC helps to put quickly and understandingly strategies into actions and to communicate all participants. Only this integrated treatment of all perspectives enables the effective management of the value enhancement of an organisation. |
