Glenfiddich Distillery

Everybody had told us that visiting Glenfiddich is a must. And yes, they were right. Of course, Glenfiddich is big, the car park is huge, but it is organized very well so visitors feel well. Hundreds of visitors at the same time. But it works. And it is not only a big show, they are really in full production. They even have their own bottling facility. We were deeply impressed.

We liked everything here. The cinema where the introductory movie was shown is large and well equipped with earphones and language selectors. After the movie the crowd was splitted into language groups. Our group consisted of only about 15 people. Less than in some other distilleries. But there were so many groups... but no problem. Most interesting was the half-automatic bottling facility. We bought a Glenfiddich "Caoran Reserve" which is a designer whisky finished in Islay casks, and a cask strength bottle.
