| Personal view: | Bowmore is one of my most favorite whiskies. So a visit was a must. But... it is not so easy to plan a travel to the isle of Islay. There are ferries, but the rational behind the time table of those ferries is beyond me. I will not elaborate this here, but in the end we were quite satisfied to have at least one full day on Islay, arriving Friday late evening, departing Sunday morning. So that Islay day was a Saturday, leaving us with many closed doors. Like Bowmore. Closed. What a pity. |
